Ciclistas para la Justicia/Cyclists for Social Justice is a group of cyclists and other active people who are also committed to social justice and equity for everyone in our communities regardless of race, ethnicity, religious background, immigration status, sexual oreintation, or gender. We are selling these very fashionable cycling jerseys as a fundraiser for two worthy causes: the Mestizo Institute of Culture and Arts and a scholarship fund for immigrant students.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from these sales will be split 50/50 between these two funds, so support a couple of excellent causes and get a fancy cycling outfit as well.
MICA is a 501(c)3 organization, so your purchase is tax deductible.
We are an inter-generational group of students of diverse academic and ethnic backgrounds concerned about the community we live in. We are poets, painters, graffiti artists, musicians, dancers, Activists, student leaders, high school and university students, community organizers and researchers who work collaboratively. We use our research and personal experiences as a way of promoting social justice and of making our voices heard. We are inspired and motivated to create positive change by understanding and addressing the issues our communities face daily. Our goal is to make a difference and make the world a better place for everyone to live in through developing young leaders, creating unity within our community, informing the world about problems young people of color face and finding creative ways to solve them.
